sgnpcomix, on this day. I decided to tackle the task of making an extra panel for a comic from the "funny" pages every day. It lasted all of two weeks. Now, they won't be daily but whenever I get around to it.
Further credit where further credit is due: completely unbeknownst to me when I started this in 2004, another group had already done it in 2001. You can find their work at the website Hedbone.com. Since none of us were extraordinarily creative with our naming, their project is also titled Extra Panel Comics. All hail the internet.
Slightly Serious Mumbo Jumbo: I didn't create any of the comics featured in this journal. The characters, names, trademarks, and fat paychecks all belong to their respective owners. What I did create--and what are definitely not intended by the original authors--are the words in the last panel of each strip. Bearing that in mind, the authors and their law dogs can hopefully resist the urge to sue me and appreciate the lampoon.
Though I'm not sure if anyone will ever appreciate the word "lampoon" quite as much as I do.
